Bali bound
Friday - We packed our car yet again and drove "an hour" to the ferry crossing for Bali. This "hour" turned out to be two and a half hours. We had peanuts for breakfast, so we were starving for lunch...which we didn't eat until after the ferry crossing at 1pm. The ferry was interesting. There is a tradition that you throw coins down into the ocean and Indonesian boys dive for them before your eyes. The ferry wasn't too bad - I sat down the whole time while I tried not to get sea-sick. We finally drove off the ferry and across the Northern coast. We saw wild monkeys while we were driving and we stopped to take some pictures. Cute!! We stopped at a roadside cafe for lunch and had some extremely tasty, extremely spicy chicken. We arrived at our hotel about 4pm and then chilled for a while to recover from all of the driving. This hotel is amazing. They handed us orange fruit drinks with flowers in them upon arrival and the entire place looks like a Balinese paradise. We put on our suits after a while and then tried to go down to the beach to swim. However, we were accosted by sales people so we decided to just stay in the hotel swimming pool. We ate dinner after our swim, then watched two movies and went to sleep.
