Sunday - We woke up early, had breakfast and jumped into the car for another full day of travel. We drove for over 7 hours. The road was bumpy and curvy and the traffic was bad.
The Rohtung Pass is a popular tourist destination. We saw horses taking people up to the still snow covered peaks. There were a ton of coat rental shops with ski outfits from the 80s and fur coats that looked like they were straight from the Chronicles of Narnia. We took a bathroom break at the pass and took pictures then drove a couple hours more to our lunch site. It was a really pretty Aspen forest with a great view of a waterfall. Then we drove to Udaipor to our first campsite. Shari and I staked out a tent which unfortunately was on a slope so sleeping involved a lot of slip and slide action. The cooking on this trip has been fantastic and entirely too much. So much for losing weight...I think we all started praying for a parasite ;-)
